Pellet stoves and inserts offer a clean and environmentally sound way to heat your home.  There are no insects, dirt, pieces of bark or slivers of wood brought into your home with pellet fuel.

Clean Burning

Pellets are a fuel option that answers the need for clean-burning, renewable energy.  Pellets are made of compressed sawdust that might otherwise end up in landfills.  Pellet fuel has been proven to be the cleanest burning type of wood fuel you can use.

Convenient

The fuel is consistent in size, comes in forty-pound bags, and takes up less space to store than cordwood.  You can store four times the amount of pellet fuel in the same space that wood takes up.  A winter's supply of pellets for the average home occupies about 6' x 6' x 6' of space, so you can store them in any dry area such as a garage or shed.  It is recommended that you purchase your pellet fuel in sufficient quantity to last a full season, as many supplies run short as the winter season progresses.

Easy to Use

Simply pour the pellets into a hopper, which automatically feeds the pellets into the stove.  Operate your pellet appliance automatically by adding a wall thermostat or remote control thermostat for the ultimate in hands-free operation.  You simply set the thermostat to the desired temperature and the pellet stove will do the rest.

Going Green is a term used to refer to the process of reevaluating how we use energy with the intention of reducing the impact on our environment.  It means different things to different people.

To us it means, in part, using natural, renewable resources as heat energy sources.  This produces fewer harmful emissions, lessens our dependence on imported and diminishing fossil fuels, and creates more self-sufficiency - not to mention bolstering American pride.

A little about Biomass and it's "green aspects:

Biomass energy is essentially the sun's energy captured and stored in growing materials.  This energy can be released "directly" through combustion, one of the most efficient and direct methods of harnessing biomass energy.  These results in very efficient energy transfer in the form of heat for our homes, garages, barns, shops, and offices - virtually anywhere we need heat.

Other "indirect" uses of this energy actually require additional energy to convert biomass fuels into other forms (e.g. refining into liquid fuel) making them far less efficient uses of biomass' natural energy.

Using direct biomass heat could significantly reduce the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions versus burning fossil fuels.

How? Burning biomass fuels releases some CO2.  However, that CO2 is "balanced" by the amount of CO2 that was captured during its growth process just a short time before.  Burning fossil fuels release "new" CO2 that had previously been stored deep in the earth having no significant environmental impact.

Since it takes only about 180 days to reproduce corn and this process consumes CO2, a balance is created between the amount of CO@ removed from the air and the amount replaces through the burning process.

As a renewable, natural energy source, biomass is a more sustainable and less intrusive solution than heating with fossil fuels.

We believe in the power of biomass to have a positive impact on our environment and lifestyle here in America.  Will you join us?
